This appealing collection is excellently suited for beginner's lessons. An additional part for percussion instruments enables these pieces to be used in group lessons in which every student counts and everybody is given a task. Moreover, the movements of the primo and secondo parts are of equal value and can thus not only be played by teacher and student with four hands, but especially by 2 students. Werner Wolf Glaser was a pupil of Hindemith and Jarnach. On account of his Jewish descent, he had to leave Germany during World War II and emigrated to Sweden where he still lives today. He founded a music school of which he was the director for more than 30 years. Furthermore, he wrote numerous works focussing on didactic musical aspects by specifically emphasizing piano lessons for groups.
