Todos los títulos de la Jazz Vocal Series (resumida por nosotros bajo el nombre de serie Vocal Solo/Big Band) de Belwin Music están arreglados para la instrumentación estándar de big band con voces; la parte vocal puede sustituirse por un saxofón tenor, y la parte vocal a menudo se incluye en dos tonalidades, dependiendo del rango vocal del solista.
La serie está dirigida a bandas de jazz prometedoras que ya han adquirido algunos años de experiencia y desean contar con un cantante de jazz.
Algunos arreglos incluso dan a los coros de jazz (tanto mixtos como femeninos) la oportunidad de hacer que la big band suene aún más gorda.
Los arreglos tienen las siguientes características:
- Feat. Solos vocales (algunos arreglos para SATB o SSAA opcional)
- Instrumentación completa: 5 saxofones, 8x metales, 4 partes rítmicas, parte vocal solista
- Opcional: saxofón tenor en Si♭-parte (en sustitución de la parte vocal)
- Los solos están parcialmente anotados.
- Las partes de la sección rítmica sugieren voicings de acordes y ritmos.
- Marcos de acordes de guitarra para apoyar a los jóvenes guitarristas.

- ¿Qué hay de ti? de Burton Lane: Este estándar de swing fue arreglado por el gran Dave Wolpe en dos tonalidades – puedes elegir entre Fa (agudo) o Do (grave) dependiendo del registro vocal del cantante. Contiene dos partituras: Las diferentes versiones tonales se encuentran en el reverso de las piezas; basta con pasar la página. Rango: El rango de la clave femenina (grave) se extiende desde La por debajo de Do central hasta el segundo espacio La. El rango de la clave masculina (agudo) se extiende desde Re por debajo del pentagrama hasta la cuarta línea Re, clave de sol. – (Grado 3)
- Moonlight Serenade (SATB, SSAA o Vocal Solo ) de Glenn Miller: El clásico de Glenn Miller es arreglado aquí por Mike Carubia para un grupo vocal a cuatro voces con conjunto de jazz. Armonías hermosas y exuberantes (pero fáciles de cantar) son el sello distintivo de este evergreen de Glenn Miller. Se trata de una verdadera historia de las grandes bandas y una gran oportunidad para enseñar sobre la época. Este gráfico también se puede adaptar a un grupo SSAA o solista vocal. – (Grado 3)
- Willow Weep For Me de Ann Ronell: Un arreglo vocal y una balada de swing lento a 70 BPM. El rango vocal se extiende desde Sol por debajo de Do medio hasta La bemol de segundo espacio. El rango de la trompeta principal se extiende hasta un La anotado e incluye un solo anotado para trombón 2 y partes principales opcionales para instrumentos en Sib, Mib y clave de fa. Gran melodía, hermoso arreglo de Vince Norman. – (Grado 3)
- Summer Wind de Johnny Mercer: »Summer Wind« será un éxito en cada concierto. Arreglada con clase y estilo por el maestro Dave Wolpe, esta partitura es un swing de tempo fácil en dos tonalidades que presenta a un solista vocal con un conjunto de jazz con un breve solo de saxo tenor: La clave alta, que comienza en Mi bemol (el rango va desde Si bemol por debajo de Do medio hasta el cuarto espacio de Mi bemol), y la clave baja, que comienza en Do (rango desde Sol bajo por debajo de Do medio hasta el tercer espacio de Do). – (Grado 3,5)
- 'S Wonderful de George Gershwin: ¡Esta canción es realmente maravillosa! La banda se mueve a un ritmo agradable y apoya al cantante en todo momento. El saxo tenor y la trompeta tocan solos después del primer estribillo y luego hacen que el cantante vuelva a responder a las "llamadas" de la banda: ¡fantástico! Típica magia de Dave Wolpe.
