The present catalog lists all sources accessible in French public libraries on the musical-poetic genre of sequences and prose from the 9th-16th centuries. Over the years, the respected musicologist and specialist in medieval music Christian Meyer has researched this extensive repertoire of texts and melodies, originally at home in the liturgy of the mass, which is presented here for the first time bundled in a catalog. In addition to a description of the manuscripts, the catalog provides an alphabetical index of the beginnings of the texts in two extensive indices, as well as a list of the various melodies comprising over 750 entries - and thus the ideal basis for further research into this highly exciting repertoire.
