The complete edition of the 10 sonatas for flute and bc. handed down by Kirnberger is completed with the present 6th volume. The whole is indispensable for school and concert.

The Musical Circul is a rondo that modulates through all the minor keys. With the 6th flute sonata the series continues on completion of this instrumentation.

The only oboe sonata by the Bach student Kirnberger appeared in the anthology 'Vermischter Musikalien' in 1769, which can be seen as a sign of compositional appreciation.
